- CFP: Beginning January 1, 2017: All CFP sponsors must upload student completion records within 14 days of a program’s completion.
- CTEC: Beginning November 1, 2014: All CTEC approved providers are required to submit education electronically to CTEC within 30 calendar days between January 16 and June 30 and within 10 business days for any other period within the calendar year in which the student completes the course.
- IRS: Requires that sponsors report completion records at least quarterly during the first 3 quarters of the year (March, June, September); then every ten business days during the last quarter of the calendar year (October – December).
The Checkpoint Learning Team makes every effort to report course completions within the time frames required by CFP, CTEC, and IRS noted above. You should ensure that when you take any courses through Checkpoint Learning that you enter your designation ID number (CFP ID, CTEC ID, and/or IRS PTIN) into your CPL profile. Your name and designation ID number in CPL must match that as registered with CFP, CTEC, and/or IRS. Your CPL profile must be updated with your designation in order for your completion records to be reported. If you confirm that any of your course completions for accredited CFP, CTEC, and/or IRS courses have not been reported within the time frames noted above, or if you have completed CFP, CTEC, and/or IRS accredited courses and not updated your Checkpoint Learning profile, please contact Checkpoint Learning Product support to investigate.
